It's a little before 5 in the morning as I write this. Sheree and I are off to work at the Edmonton Indy for the next three days. I am sipping coffee. I am tired and just a wee bit cranky.
I am sitting here, gazing at this picture and asking myself a simple question: Why do people insist on putting human clothes on pets?
We were in NYC one afternoon and saw a woman pushing a pampered looking poodle wear
ing a pink skirt in a STROLLER.
To be fair, the dog at least had the good sense to look a little embarrassed.
The pup in this image, taken at a fashion show on Edmonton's Whyte Avenue, wasn't going to walk down the runway under any circumstances.
His/her/its handler tugged on the leash and the animal sat down.
Finally the handler picked it up and simply carried it down the runway. It became a resigned boneless heap of animal, surrendering to its long walk down the runway of public humiliation.
This little guy is wear
ing a Harley Davidson black leather jacket that sells for a mere three hundred and fifty nine dollars.
Here's my plan: get the names and home addresses of each person who buys clothes and/OR strollers for their pets. Then ensure, in what
ever means necessary, that they can no longer reproduce. (See? I told you I was cranky...)
I am particular wary of people who refer to their dogs as their children and themselves as the "mommy" and "daddy"...because...well...you know what
that makes the mom.
It may just be me...but does the Harley Davidson dog look embarrassed?
He is hanging his head and probably thinking of cleaning his butt in the middle of the kitchen floor. He is, after all, a dog.
Poor little guy.

This fashion show, in which my jewellery designs, called Joolz, were paraded alongside amazing designers Peter Alexander, Alice McCall, Jenny Bannister, Zentini, Country Road, and Lululemon, was just so much fun! We had a ball.
In fact it was so much fun, that I would love to getting another one happening for the Spring releases. (But I'm just so busy it doesn't look like it might get there til maybe summer at this rate! This is why I'm not on flickr as much these days! And some of my Joolz are going to be in Vogue!! Its very exciting times here at Joolz central!)
So, finally, these photos are a bit of a 'recent update' on what
's going on in my corner of the world.

She shares her personal journey and the intimate, poignant and often humorous stories of the dozens of women she interviewed across the country.
